But Meissner’s technique isn’t just for actors. It can be a valuable tool for anyone who wants to improve their skills and connect more deeply with others. In this article, we’ll look at a Meisner technique exercise that will help you become a better listener.
Actors’ Reflections On The Emotional And Psychological Impact Of Their Transformations.
Close your eyes and listen. It may sound easy, but it can be difficult in our busy and distracted world. Pay attention to a specific sound in your environment. It could be the sound of your computer, the sound of traffic outside, or the wind blowing through the trees. Listen to this sound and try to distract yourself from other things.

Once you’ve mastered this, try expanding your listening to include other sounds in your environment. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds in the hallway or other room. What can you hear? Is it the sound of someone walking down the hall, a door opening and closing, or the sound of running water?
By setting these sounds, you are actively listening to the people around you. You learn to clear distractions and focus on the present. This exercise can help you become a better listener in all areas of your life, from your personal relationships to your professional connections.
Meissner’s most important technique is the concept of “bending your intention.” And this way you can direct yourself wherever you want to go. By using this exercise, you will strengthen your ability to focus and stay on time.

In the Meissner technique, the goal is to get your partner to respond autonomously to an event. By active listening, you learn how to respond to people in real life. When you listen deeply to someone, you can better understand their needs, desires, and motivations. It can lead to deeper and more meaningful connections with the people around you.
In summary, the Meisner Technique provides a powerful tool for anyone who wants to become a better listener. By actively listening and “getting your attention,” you can learn to be present and truly respond to the world around you. Take a few minutes each day to practice this exercise, and you’ll be amazed at how it improves your relationships and overall sense of well-being.

Underlines the importance of the high impact of unexpected events in a globalized world. a deeper and broader understanding of strategies that can deepen performance. Traditional research has paid relatively little attention to uncertain and unpredictable situations, including contingent competence, and how organizations can achieve a degree of resilience. Hence, the purpose of this study is to determine whether there are individual, social, and organizational types of competencies that can enhance resilience. The first objective is to investigate how professionals at different levels and organizational levels describe and understand the nature and function of contingency. The second objective is to investigate which soft competencies can be used in organizations to increase performance regardless of the scenario or event. A general structural approach was used for this study using semi-structured interviews. A purposive expert sample of 13 Norwegian physicians with unique and broad interdisciplinary experience of highly unpredictable events was selected deliberately. The youth ranged from 41 to 62 years (M = 48.92, SD = 6.94), and the length of professional experience and education ranged from 22 to 43 years. A thematic analysis of the transcribed interview and commentary reveals six core competencies: 1) General readiness, 2) Character and individual competence, 3) Healthy relationships, 4) Creative behavior and improvisational skills, (5) C. Ability to think and learn, 6) emotional efficiency. Besides, I didn’t expect the situation to be complicated. These findings illuminate an interdisciplinary perspective and provide a rich integration of unexpected competencies, including a framework that provides a foundation for future research and a tool for clinicians working in the field.
There is a space between the stimulus and the response. In this space we have the power to choose our response. In our answer lies our growth and freedom. Victor E. Frenkl
Transforming Masculinities Through Cross Cultural Collaboration: Reflections On Building A Community Of Practice Framework
In a globalized world, many people and organizations experience unexpected events, including crises and emergencies. How do these professionals experience, adapt and manage new risks in a changing, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment (Barber, 1992; Bennett and Lemoine, 2014; Antonakopoulou et al., 2019)? A pandemic, predictably but unexpectedly, shows how a small virus can affect the world community very quickly and with far-reaching consequences. A key implication of the findings is that it underscores the importance of a deeper and broader understanding of performance, capabilities, and the complexities of resilience competencies.
