What To Do On Allure Of The Seas – We recently enjoyed our first Royal Caribbean cruise. This is a 7 night cruise on Allure of the Seas. I wasn’t completely sold on the idea when we first booked our vacation, but I fell in love with it as soon as we got on the plane. Allure of the Seas is the third largest cruise ship in the world and can accommodate more than 6,000 vacationers. It feels like a small village on the water. Even though we spent 7 full days on this luxury cruise ship, we still didn’t get to experience all the adventures and experiences they had to offer.
Allure of the Seas is fun from bow to stern. I try to see and do as much as I can, but it is impossible to see and do them all. That being said, I think there are some experiences you can’t miss. In this post, I share my list of must-do experiences on Allure of the Seas. In fact, many of the items on this list can be transferred to any Royal Caribbean cruise ship.
What To Do On Allure Of The Seas
One thing I try to do on every vacation, and cruises are no exception, is watch the sunrise. Whether viewed from the balcony, walkway or upper deck, every cruiser should watch the sunrise at least once. It was incredible to see such beautiful scenery on the other side of the sea.

The sunset over the ocean is like nothing I’ve ever seen, which is why watching it is also on my “to do” list. On Allure of the Seas, we watched the sunset from chairs on the deck 5 walkway. It was absolutely amazing and an experience that my whole family enjoyed together.
Allure of the Seas has 5 swimming pools, one of which is an adult pool located in the solarium. There are also numerous hot tubs as well as a children’s water park (splash pad) and a hot tub (my kids’ favorite spot on the boat). During the cruise, sit by the pool with a delicious drink (I recommend the Mai Tai) and enjoy the sun. Then cool off with a dip in the pool. For more excitement, join pool volleyball or play water games!
There’s certainly no shortage of activities on Allure of the Seas, but for families I recommend Trivia the most! Whether it’s Disney, the world, celebrities, music or Harry Potter, these Puzzles are fun for the whole family. The events are free of charge and last the whole week. We played Harry Potter and Disney trivia games. It was a tough game, but we emerged victorious as we tested our magical knowledge!
Tips For First Time Cruise
Allure of the Seas offers many great shows that the whole family will love, and best of all, you can book a show before you even get on board! Weeks before boarding, we reserve seats for the best shows at sea and above! Mamma Mia was an absolutely stunning production that had the whole audience singing and dancing, while the Aquarium Water Show had guests on the edge of their seats watching the high divers blend gracefully into the water. Guests will also enjoy Ice Games, a fun and upbeat ice skating show, and Blue Planet, a whimsical show full of acrobatics, powerful music and dance. In addition, bars, clubs, swimming pools and even the Royal Promenade have live bands playing throughout the week.
The Allure of the Seas has a number of adventure activities including rock climbing and the FlowRider, but in my opinion, the zip line is a must! There’s nothing better than flying over deck 9 and admiring the views of the boardwalk below! My son and I zipped both and it was the highlight of our trip! (Note: closed shoes are required and the rider must weigh at least 75 kilos.)
I try spa treatments almost every vacation, so all I have to do is get a spa treatment before boarding the boat. On the first day, the spa offers tours as well as raffles and special discounts. Then there are daily specials and other events throughout the week. I booked a 75 minute Swedish massage and loved every second of it.

Mini golf is a great way to enjoy Allure of the Seas morning, afternoon or evening. We played here twice during our trip. I recommend visiting in the morning or evening when the sun is not very hot. The balls and rackets at the entrance to the court are free to use. Mini golf is not only a fun experience to enjoy with family or friends, but also offers a great view of the open sea or islands while in port.
Allure of the Seas’ shopping options will not disappoint! From Kate Spade to Michael Kors and Coach, there’s a bag for everyone! Like watches? Then you’ll love what our Allure of the Seas has to offer. In addition to the on-board watch shop, guests can enjoy special watch sales throughout the week on the Royal Promenade, including $10 watches (good for kids). Do you want a souvenir? There are a lot of them, but if you want a Royal Caribbean t-shirt, be sure to wait until this weekend because they’re on sale for $2/20!
My favorite part of the cruise was definitely Central Park! Morning, afternoon or evening, Central Park is the perfect place to walk, drink, relax or even shop. There are many restaurants in the park which are also great places to enjoy delicious food. What I love most is sitting in a comfortable chair with a drink, admiring the scenery and letting the cool sea breeze hit my face. It’s heaven!
What It’s Like To Sail On One Of The World’s Largest Cruise Ships
Allure of the Seas does not disappoint when it comes to taking photos. In addition to the amazing views from the top deck, you can also find professional photographers outside the Royal Promenade and Restaurant in the evenings. While some photography stations stay the same, some offer different backdrops and even some props. We had fun taking pictures together as a family with our friends. Customers can purchase a photo package to keep these memories forever. We decided to buy a photo album, which we absolutely loved!
While these are my top ten must-do experiences, there are plenty more to choose from, including ice skating, rock climbing, and carousel rides. I can’t wait for our next cruise to try some exciting adventures and experiences! Which adventure would you choose?
